Essential Oils -
More Precious Than Gold For Thousands of Years
"Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up,
And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up,
And it will be a memorial to the LORD,
For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off."
Isaiah 55:13
References to essential oils are mentioned hundreds times in scripture. These oils were from "the work of a skilled apothecary." The people were given the skill, desire, command, and blessing for making and using precious oils such as frankincense, myrrh, cedarwood, sandalwood, hyssop, cassia, galbanum, myrtle, cypress, onycha, sandalwood and many more. They were essential ingredients in consecration, blessing, protection, fasting, injury, emotions, sickness and weakness. Essential Oils were items of trade and commonly referred to as "best products of the land," "precious," "treasured gifts," and "most holy oils." They knew why. I now know why and it is my hope that as you consider what you read on my website pages, you will become curious and choose to know why, as well.
